Secret Shopper by Tanya Taimanglo is a captivating page turner. It is a delightfully told story about a girl from Guam, the ups and downs of her loves and family, hard endings and promising beginnings.

The story is well written, fun and filled with lovable characters. The romance is chivalrous and fairly chaste which is a refreshing change from the current trend. The characters are interesting yet realistic. Readers will be rooting for Phoenix as she blossoms into her own woman.

Phoenix is a good girl, a good daughter, a dutiful wife, and a woman with many issues and unfulfilled needs. The Secret Shopper is about her journey through a broken marriage, body issues and personal loss. Overwrought by her husband’s infidelity, among other things, Phoenix focuses getting control of her life. She needs to lose weight and find a job! While on the job as a secret shopper, she meets Thomas. There is an instant attraction, but she doesn’t act on it. Thomas is a good man, and he patiently waits for Phoenix’s love while proving himself a steadfast friend.

No secret here…Secret Shopper by Tanya Taimanglo is a charming 5-star read!
