Hearts and Daggers is an eight story anthology. The proceeds from the sale of this book go to St. Judes Childrens’ Hospital. I love that so many indie authors generously give to deserving charities.
I am familiar with only one of the authors in this anthology (A.M. Willard), so I went into this read blind. I was pleasantly surprised by the varied mix of stories included in the anthology. Anthologies are a great introduction to new-to-you authors, and I think I found a few!
While I didn’t love each of the stories included, all were well written. Most of the stories are complete short stories; I believe only one was a clear start to a new series. Each Hearts and Daggers story is a perfect lunchtime escape.
Hearts and Daggers includes:
A psychological thriller
A serial killer,
A romantic weekend without the kids
A chance encounter with a Hollywood starlet
A Valentine’s Day apparition
Art collectors and painters in Florence (fans of this author will catch the subtle nod to her first series)
Each story in this anthology is steamy and unique. There are “dark” and “sweet” romances included—a perfect blend just like a Valentine’s box of dark and milk chocolate.
The Hearts and Daggers anthology has something for every fan of romance.
