I have been stalking Ginger Scott for a few years. I fell in love with her writing when I read This is Falling (more on that later). When I heard she was going to be at a signing event not too far from me, I jumped at the chance to meet this incredible writer, woman, mom. I truly mean that she is incredible. The energy, effort and graciousness that she puts into every interaction in her life is inspiring. I wish I could eloquently tell you how organic her writing is or how her writing made me appreciate the Young Adult/New Adult genres, but alas, I’m a reader not a writer. I can only say that her writing makes me feel deeply. To top it off, she is more into baseball than I am! I could drone on about my girl crush on Ginger, but I’ll just summarize it with this: Ginger could be my twin from another mother ❤
So, back to This is Falling…a fabulously tender NA romance that hit home for me since my oldest son had just left for college when I read it. All those new life experiences that Ginger so perfectly included in her book were similar to my son’s experiences. Her depiction of that experience and time in one’s life is amazing as are the emotions and issues she respectfully included in her series. I fell in love with Ginger and with Nate Preeter, the hero of This is Falling.
If you haven’t read Ginger’s Falling Series, you are missing out! I love all the characters in this series, however, Nate remains my favorite. Among many other things, Nate is a baseball player. In honor of Nate Preeter, Buster Posey (yeah, Ginger loves my catcher even though she is a die-hard D’backs fan) and the start of baseball season, Book Junkie Reviews is giving away to one winner a signed copy of the three books in the Falling Series!
