What It’s About:
I’ve discovered Donovan Kincaid’s secret.
It’s dirty and filthy and rich – as dirty and filthy and rich as he is – and it haunts me as much as he ever did.
Even after knowing what I know now, I still want to talk to him, to touch him. But there’s an ocean between us, and I’m not sure it can be crossed with something as easy as a phone call or a plane ride.
Yet I’m willing to try.
He doesn’t know this yet, but this time I’m the one with the power. And maybe – just maybe – if the air were cleared and all our secrets bared, there could still be a chance for us.
And this dirty, filthy thing between us might end up being love after all.
Guest Reviewer Jeannie’s Thoughts:
Laurelin Paige’s latest, Dirty Filthy Rich Love, is a conclusion of Donovan and Sabrina’s love story. And, what a conclusion it is. The cat and mouse game that Sabrina and Donovan were playing was a cover for something so much bigger. Without giving too much away, it is everything and nothing we were led to believe when Laurelin left us on the edge of the cliff at the end of DFRM. The title says it all. DFRL is focused on that – Love. Learning to love in a vacuum and learning to accept that love takes so many forms. And most of all – learning that intention matters. We are consumed by the emotional side of what up until know was a relationship both Donovan and Sabrina tried, and failed, to control through their physicality. But we all know sex doesn’t fix things and that’s where DFRL really takes off.
Ms. Paige does an amazing job at peeling back the layers of Donovan Kincaid and showing us his true heart. The ultimate puppet master turns out to be a slave to his emotions in many ways. Swoon worthy doesn’t even begin to describe him. For all of his darkness Donovan has a noble selfless heart. And he broke mine more than once. This is a character you will scream at, cry for and carry deep in your bones for a very long time. He is achingly imperfect in the most perfect of ways.
And Sabrina. She was a breathtaking heroine in every sense of the word. Strong enough to admit when she was mistaken, and she is strong enough to bring Donovan into the light. They are perfectly matched couple in an absolute role reversal in so many ways. The reason I truly love this book is that the reader’s expectations were flipped on its head, and the result was that much more satisfying. Of course the sex was hot and steamy and enough to make your skin crawl in the best sort of way. But the emotions were even hotter, sizzling on the page every time Sabrina and Donovan were in the room together.
Donovan Kincaid has cemented a place in my Book Boyfriend Hall of Fame. Spend some time with him and find out why.
This is a swoon worthy supernova.
