My Thoughts:
Epoch is a truly EPIC conclusion to Jewel E. Ann’s mind-bending Transcend Duet. This is an emotionally charged story of fate and a love that transcends time. The story picks up where book one, Transcend, ends.
Epoch is told primarily from the perspective of the main character, Swayze, but there are intermittent chapters narrated by Griffin and Nate. This is faster paced than book one, and it flows beautifully. I want to gush about the plot, and favorite quotes, but no one should read spoiler reviews before diving into this duet.
I alternated between loving and hating all the characters. I sympathized with the fragility of their hearts. I growled in frustration at their indecision and groaned about some of their choices. Jewel E. Ann consistently creates characters her readers can’t help but identify with and become invested in. This story of timeless love is a page-turner. Be prepared to add a couple new book boyfriends to your list.
I laughed, I loved, and I cried. What more could anyone want from a book?
“Chase happiness. Never settle. Fight for what you want, not what you think you deserve. Dream big…enough for two lifetimes”.
Nothing worth having is easily won, so be prepared to gut out the angst in order to be rewarded with the perfect ending and a serendipitous epilogue.
