About the Book:

Blaire Gibson knows better than to have one-night stands.

She prides herself on her decision-making skills. It’s the one asset that has never let her down. But even the best thinkers have weaknesses. Hers is a delicious business mogul with a quick tongue. Unfortunately for her, that tongue is good for more than just talking.

Holt Mason doesn’t need to justify anything to anyone.

He wants Blaire. He pursues Blaire. And he gets Blaire because that’s how his life works.

Until it doesn’t.

What begins as a single night in a hotel room spirals into an unusual agreement. As late nights provide the space to trade secrets and walls come tumbling down, more is shared than just pillow talk.

They both should’ve known better. They should’ve shown restraint. Because when guards are dropped, hearts get hurt.

Guest Reviewer Lisha’s Thoughts:

I always eagerly anticipate a new release by Adriana Locke and have yet to be disappointed. Restraint is her newest and introduces us to the Mason family in steamy Savannah, Georgia. Holt Mason is a workaholic. He has his hands full as CEO of a successful family business and has no time or energy for anything else. Blaire Gibson is an attorney who has fully immersed herself into her profession and has no time for relationships as well. These two had no idea their lives would be on a collision course when they literally ran into each other at the airport.

I love that we got to check back in with the Gibsons and Laundrys from Adriana Locke’s other series. As is typical in her novels there’s going to be a crazy family and plenty of hot brothers that I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of in the future. Holt and Blaire’s story started off as a slow burn that got hotter as they took their one night stand further to a multi-night stand. I felt that both Blaire and Holt were more intense characters than typical in past novels and their long distance relationship also added another hurdle to their already complicated romance. Their story was quite a bumpy but very enjoyable ride. I’m thankful that I received a free copy of this novel from the author in return for a fair review. I am definitely looking forward to the next in the series.
