Review: The Relationship Pact by Adriana Locke

☆☆➹⁀☆ 5 stars ☆➹⁀☆☆

About the Book:

How hard can it be?

That was the question rolling around Larissa Mason’s mind just before she asked Hollis Hudson to be her fake boyfriend.

It was only supposed to be for five minutes, after all.

Granted, that was also before she felt his hand on the small of her back as he charmed the heck out of her family.

She hadn’t heard his laugh yet either.

And it was definitely before she saw the football god shirtless. Otherwise, she would’ve had an idea of just how hard some things could be.

It turns out that pretending to be in love with a crazily handsome, somewhat enigmatic, and absolutely unforgettable tight end (that has an amazing tight end) is easy.

Reminding herself that just because opposites attract doesn’t mean they’re forever is much harder.

What they have isn’t love—it’s a relationship pact. Right?

Guest Reviewer Lisha’s Thoughts:

The Relationship Pact is a very sweet contemporary romance that is final installment of a three book series. I couldn’t help but love Hollis. He carries a lot of self doubt and has had abandonment issues, but despite that he manages a successful college football career until his senior year when it all goes south. He has to decide if football is going to be his future.

Larissa is tired of being in bad relationships and notices that in all of them athletes seem to be the problem. She wants to start focusing on what she truly loves, landscaping, and is determined to stay away from athletes until she meets Hollis, her new fake boyfriend. Fate seemed to push these together when they both needed it most. It was only supposed to be a couple of plus-one dates but it ended it being so much more.

I loved the strong chemistry between these two and found myself really rooting for their new relationship to work. You could feel the charisma just simmering between the two of them. I also enjoyed the introduction of new characters like Judy, the grandmother figure for Hollis, as well as the return of past characters like the Landry and Mason families. Adriana Locke is a master of writing about strong friendships and the importance of family ties.
