Review: Loving Dark Men by J.A. Huss

☆☆➹⁀☆ 4 stars☆➹⁀☆☆

About the Book:

A man lures a woman into the woods.

Another ruins the life of his best friend.

And yet another strings them along like puppets.

Dark men.

They are intriguing, and charming, and powerful.

They are changing the world.

They are changing themselves.

They are playing with lust, and love, and fear, and loathing.

Addicted to each other, to their secret, to the seduction, to the sex.

It’s a crash in the making.

And yes, it’s on purpose.

These men are dark.

And this is the messy story of how Nova Ryan loves them.

My Thoughts:

Loving Dark Men provides ample suspense and romance to appeal to a variety of readers.  From the scene setting to the surprise ending, it is a gripping read.

The queen of conspiracy strikes again!  Loving Dark Men has twists galore and shocking reveals.  I can trust Ms. Huss to keep me on my toes when reading her books!   The book is alternatively narrated by two characters, Nova and Locke, and it toggles between timelines as well.  The author’s use of alternate time lines is perfect for slowly revealing not only the characters’ past but the illusions, deceptions, and manipulations.

I loved the intrigue as well as the characters.  As with most of Ms. Huss’ fiction, expect the unexpected!
