Review: The Wish by Eva Lenoir

About the Book:

My life was complicated enough, I didn’t need an added distraction.

My father’s stubborn decision to organize a world tour, landed me toe to toe with Marlon Brooks—Los Angeles’ most eligible millionaire bachelor.

It was easy to figure him out.

He was rich.

He was gorgeous.

Confidence dripping from every word he spoke.

But nothing is ever as it seems.

Beneath his veneer hid a man of many layers—ones I would peel back slowly and savor at every turn.

Until all his secrets were revealed.

My Thoughts:

Marlon’s job is making dreams come true for those with a short time left on this Earth. Once he meets Jaidyn, Marlon Brook’s personal agenda is to make all her dreams come true as well.

I loved Marlon Brooks. He’s wealthy, handsome and apparently a very giving guy. Having created an organization like Dream List Foundation, he’s got to be caring, right? When Jaidyn’s father takes advantage of Dream List Foundation’s services, Marlon shows just how much of a gentleman he is (okay, he also shows he’s got a bit of wolf inside him as well).

Jaidyn is totally devoted to her father. This loving daughter is taking time away from her education and career goals to be caregiver and companion to her dad. For the daughter of a successful businessman and being well educated, she is either naïve or a pansy when it comes to her boyfriend, Calvin, who uses her as a doormat. Calvin is a character who readers will naturally hate from the start. Jaidyn’s father, Robert, is a great secondary character who is pivotal to the story line.

The plot flows smoothly. The story contains nice messages about family, love and life. I love the bucket list idea…it’s a reminder to start chasing your dreams now, not when you’re dying.

Author Eva Lenoir has also thrown in some spice that brings the chemistry between Marlon and Jaidyn up to a boil. A heartwarming contemporary romance that brought a smile to my face.

About the Author: Eva LeNoir grew up travelling with her parents to various countries in the world. Reading was her constant companion during her travels and her ability to adapt to different cultures fed her mind with endless possibilities. The characters swimming in her head are always from various horizons with a multitude of dreams and aspirations. However, all of these voices always have one thing in common: The women are strong and independent. A true believer in the female cause, Eva’s wish is to portray the women in her books as the leaders. She sees them walking hand in hand with their partners and not be the sheepish followers of the male gender. But most of all, Eva LeNoir wants to offer her readers a moment of pleasure as they dive into the world of her mind’s creation.
